Outpatient Consultation and Services:
The outpatient clinic is located in the basement of the OPD Block LGB. The mission of the hospital is to provide comprehensive, high-quality care to patients and their families. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, new patients are seen; on all other days (Monday through Saturday), existing patients are seen, with the option of interdepartmental referrals at any time. The tumour board for patients is held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The department is a participant in the hospital-based National Cancer Registry programme administered by the Bangalore-based "National Centre for Disease Informatics and Research."
Special ClinicsUnder the supervision of a physician, a dedicated professional nurse administers chemotherapy and targeted therapy. The Day Care Unit for Chemotherapy is fully equipped with chemotherapy chairs, monitors, and a biosafety cabinet. Chemotherapy regimens are conducted in conformity with internationally recognised standards. From April 2020 to March 2021, 900 chemotherapy infusions were administered with the utmost care in accordance with Covid-approved protocols.
Inpatient ServicesIn the basement of (ABB Ward) A block, 30 beds have been set aside for the patients. From April 2020 to March 2021, 126 patients were admitted and cared for. It was when the institute was designated as a dedicated Covid facility in August and September 2020, inpatient services were disrupted.
Radiation ServicesThe Linac Elekta Versa HD, with its High Dose Rate Mode (FFF), high-resolution Micromultileaf collimator (MLC), advanced 2D, 3D, 4D imaging, and end-to-end quality assurance, and the newly installed Hexapod (Robotic Couch), ensures high precision radiotherapy delivery while sparing normal tissues as much as possible. In November 2020, we relaunched our Radiation services for the patients.
Non-clinicalAs Acting Head of the Department, Dr. Pritanjali Singh is in charge of all administrative and academic activities related to the department. Aided in the acquisition of a hexapod for the department, allowing for the precise execution of the treatment plan
